Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchasing all required media, reagents, lab supplies by issuing npr and getting approvals on timely basis, communications with lab supplier vendors to ensure lab supplies are received on a timely basis. Updating all purchased lab supplies in spreadsheet to ensure cost budget is kept under control.
  • Responsible for responding to raw material hot lists
  • Responsible for preparing micro concurrent forms.
  • Responsible for calculating cost for QC test/ suitability test.
  • Responsible for preparing change controls, IQ/OQ/PQ Protocols and reports for all newly purchased microbiology laboratory equipment.
  • Responsible for contacting equipment suppliers and requesting quotations for all lab equipment.
  • Responsible for reviewing all raw material specification for micro testing requirements and prepare master certificate of analysis.
  • Responsible for reviewing all finished product specifications for micro testing requirements and preparing master certificate of analysis.
  • Responsible for initiating OOS
  • Responsible for preparing MRC2 and MRC3 Reports
  • Responsible for updating the MRC2 and MRC3 soft copy lists.
  • Responsible for sending out isolates for identification to outside laboratory when required.
  • Responsible for sending out laboratory equipment for calibration to outside contractor.
  • Responsible for preparing protocols and reports for method suitability.
  • Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly trend analysis reports for water, EM and swabs.
  • Responsible for yearly HVAC report
  • Responsible for establishing alert and actions limits for EM, water and swabs on yearly basis.
  • Follow up on all notifications of alert and action limits with appropriate departments.
  • Responsible for answering all phone calls to ensure all queries are answered and finished products are released on a timely basis and production schedule is not disrupted.
  • Responsible for performing gram stain test when required.
  • Responsible for any other projects assigned by the lab supervisor.
  • Responsible for Releases and signing off documents and assigning work for the micro team as a backup for the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with the validation team on yearly preparation of purified and RO water reports.
  • Responsible for conducting and writing investigation reports.
  • Responsible for assessment of USP requirements, communicating updates, and providing recommendations to close the gap.
Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
