    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Business Analyst specializing in Financial systems to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between IT and Finance, ensuring the successful implementation, enhancement, and optimization of our OneStream solution. They will also play a pivotal role in the ongoing support and sustainment of our Oracle ERP Solution as well as other peripheral systems used to support AutoCanada's finance team. As an IT Business Analyst for Financial Systems, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, identify areas for improvement, and drive the successful delivery of Finance's technology solutions.

    What you will do

    We're seeking a tech-savvy, ambitious individual who will partner closely with our Corporate Finance team and our System Integrator (SI) consultants to maintain AutoCanada's Financial systems, focusing on enhancing our financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Finance team and other relevant stakeholders to understand business needs, objectives, and challenges related to AutoCanada's financial systems.
  • Provide project delivery support and financial consolidation process knowledge to contribute to the successful go-live and adoption of OneStream in 2024.
  • Engage with end users to understand and translate business requirements into effective application configurations and related process for financial systems.
  • Collaborate with our SI partner and maintain training documentation for system functionality and financial consolidation and reporting processes.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of existing financial processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Support and manage core applications used by the Corporate Finance including access management.
  • Create business and non-functional requirements, test cases and test plans for the implementation of the new and existing systems.
  • Collaborate with testing teams to conduct thorough testing and validation of system changes.
  • Ensure that IT service management & documentation systems are kept up to date.
  • Co-ordinate with the Information Management team to ensure the systems are configured and optimized for the successful delivery of business intelligence services to staff within the finance team.
  • Lead and participate in project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery of Corporate Finance projects within scope and budget.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and Corporate Finance, fostering effective communication and understanding between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a point of contact for troubleshooting and issue resolution related to AutoCanada's financial systems.
  • What you bring to the table

  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years working experience as a technical Business Analyst, application support or similar role.
  • Working experience supporting, maintaining and knowledge in financial business applications. (Experience with Oracle ERP, OneStream and\or Workiva would be considered an asset.)
  • Related post-secondary education and industry certification (IT, commerce, computer science etc.).
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL and database structures are an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft products is an asset ( Power BI, Azure, Office 365, SharePoint).
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Analytical mindset, problem solving skills and easy adoption of change.
  • Working experience in developing business requirements, lead workshops and build fit gap analysis.
  • Experience in system implementation, migration, and optimization.
  • Experience with remote support for a geographically distributed organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and to be motivated and reliable
  • Process and improvement focused.
  • A quick learner with a demonstrated capability to produce documents and share knowledge with others.
  • Self-starter capable of working individually and with a team in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment.
  • Business acumen and ability to communicate within all levels of an organization.
  • Familiarity with automotive operations considered an asset.
