Description
Plan and schedule all aspects of production, materials and outsource requirements to achieve customer service and material management objectives. Communicate with counterparts throughout the companies. Build and maintain master files and critical codes that define the manufacturing process.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    anada or others, as appropriate, any problems associated with production, critical customer requirements or shop floor efficiencies that compromise the schedule and/or standards.

    • Set and distribute daily shop floor schedule. Set and distribute dispatch lists for other departments such as Aluminum Cutting, Moulding and Press Room. This is conducted from an analysis of actual and anticipated customer requirements, the availability of resources and materials, and in compliance with the company's operating principles and inventory objectives and as required, expedite and/or adjust schedules to reflect changes
    • Process and print work orders as required by the shop floor schedule.
    • Process custom order work order packets including special instructions and pallet flags.

    reate part ID's and engineering masters including bill of material and usages as well as routing instructions.

    • Assist with creation and maintaining label files for the purpose of printing shipping labels and UPC codes.
    • Maintain Standard and Export Information sheets as an information source sharing tool to connect various departments throughout the plant.
    • Maintain Mold and Equipment Catalogue master sheets as an information source sharing tool to connect various department within the Operation's Team and gathers necessary information and pictures from the Engineer Manager and Maintenance/Technician Manager
    • Plays a central, interactive role in the exchange of information between sales, production and purchasing to ensure the attainment of service and operating objectives.
    • O
    ther duties include assist with product and packaging development, maintain quality of purchased materials and manufactured goods.

    • Assist Engineering with jig/fixture design or design changes and work cell layouts to reduce labour constraint, increase capacity and improve ergonomics.
    • Initiate cycle counts, record results and make necessary adjustments.
    • Assist to plan, organize and supervise the conducting of the yearend plant inventories and reconciliation.
    • Perform ongoing analysis of weekly, monthly and future capacity to optimize product level loading and achieve manufacturing continuity during low and high volume months.
    • Lead the Sales and Operating plan process that looks long term at matching capacity with demand, leadtime and delivery performance.
    • Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.
    • Monitor production progress.
    • Reviews of raw stock to verify reinspection procedures.
    • Review Forecasts and schedule according to the MRP process.
    • Review and maintain daily production sheets and record and maintain efficiencies.
    • Performs other duties as required.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • C
    ommunity College diploma in a technical field or equivalent

    • F
    ive years manufacturing experience ideally with extensive involvement in materials planning
