The Opportunity.
We are currently looking for a Manager, Applications Delivery and Support to join our national IT team.

In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Applications Delivery Team, leading the operations, support, and maintenance of our core solution platforms.

Responsibilities.

  • Lead the Application Delivery Team, providing coaching, mentorship, feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Manage prioritization and assignment of work across the Delivery team
  • Ensure crosstraining of the Delivery team, ensuring redundant support is always available
  • Partner with the Manager, IT Operations to align Tiers 2 and 3 support
  • Collaborate on the overall CAB process and procedures with the Manager, IT Operations
  • Be accountable for release planning, deployment plan, and vendor/client communication
  • Lead the team in building a standard regression test plan and manage release testing
  • Accountable for internal communications including release contents and status updates
  • Coordinate and lead Go-Live activities, executing deployment plans and checklists
  • Maintain a release repository, managing key information and conducting Lessons Learned processes
  • Drive continuous improvements to the Release process
  • Manage staggered implementations with business stakeholders
  • Research new software development and configuration management methodologies
  • Other duties, as assigned
Qualifications, competencies and experience.

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or a combination of relevant education and experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a technologyrelated field, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity
  • ITIL, Lean or Agile certification and experience are considered an asset
  • Highly effective project and program management skills
  • Ability to explain technical concepts and theories to nontechnical audiences.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization
