Production Planner Design Focus Cambridge - Tigercat Industries Inc.
Description
Day Shift - 8am - 4:30pm - Monday to FridayResponsibilities may include:
- Work with Value Stream Leader, engineering, production, purchasing and service department, in coordinating and planning material flow
- Plan and schedule material processes according to production schedule
- Design fixtures, tools and material handling devices
- Design layout of equiopment, materials and work spaces to illustrate maximum efficiency
- Monitor the production plan and investigate / resolve any potential material issues in a timely fashion
- Analyze root causes and systems, including MRP, Kanban and Heijunka to improve material consistency
- Coordinate with Value Stream Leaders in planning and implementing engineering change notice's (ECN's) in production lines
- Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages
Skills and Experience:
- Materials Management, Supply Chain Logistics, or Operations & Production Planning & Control Experiences an asset
- HIgh level of skill with Solidworks and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365, MRP Systems and Microsoft Office expereince an asset
- Comprehensive understanding of drawings, specifications, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
- Must be able to adapt to a changing work environment, challenging demands and able to deal with frequent hange and delays
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance
- Detail oriented, precise, and efficient problem solving & time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with active listening
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse groups of individuals and disciplines
- A desire to learn and take initiative to always improve
