THE ROLE:


Reporting to the VP of Finance & CFO, the
Director of Supply Chain will develop, oversee, and manage the supply chain strategy for the Denison organization with the goal of maximizing productivity, improving efficiency, and reducing costs while securing high quality goods and services for the company.

This includes planning, coordinating, and optimizing the flow of goods, services, information, and finances, analyzing operational performance, resolving issues proactively, and collaborating with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet expected quality and safety standards.

You have broad, hands-on supply chain experience having successfully managed increasingly complex scopes of work.

Your proactive, detail-oriented, and highly analytical nature ensures procurement, logistics and vendor management processes are designed and implemented in a bias-free, repeatable manner to achieve cost-savings, optimization, and satisfactory internal service levels.

Additional qualifications and attributes include:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, or relevant field; or college diploma or Canadian Supply Chain Management Association (CSCMA) certificate with relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years experience in purchasing, logistics, carrier, vendor, and contracts management in industrial/mining industries, with at least 5 years progressively complex experience in a strategic leadership capacity.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes coupled with a strategic, analytical, and continuous improvementoriented mindset.
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a strategic sourcing program through successfully leading the delivery of multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Excellent project management, problemsolving, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, teamwork, collaboration, and negotiation skills to effectively achieve results through others.
  • Proficiency in Office Suite (Excel, Office, PowerPoint, Outlook), advanced SAP/ERP software is required, SAP experience a definite asset.
  • Experience with uranium mining is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to regional and remote sites and ability to wear PPE as required.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy with the management team.
  • Oversee procurement operations, sourcing, purchasing, and negotiation processes, and devise pricing strategies aligned with EBIT objectives.
  • Manage the endtoend strategic purchasing process, including spend analysis, negotiation, and risk evaluation.
  • Establish and oversee the tactical purchasing process for equipment, capital goods, ensures sustainable purchase price variances are incorporated.
  • Identify new market sources, establish, and maintain collaborative relationships with suppliers, carriers, and vendors, and devise costeffective solutions for maximum efficiency, quality, and safety compliance, at the lowest possible cost.
  • Implement logistics strategies for remote sites, establish controls over ocean vs air freight, and ensure competitive freight rates for costeffective transportation services.
  • Manage contracts and key agreements, and lead contract renewals and negotiations.
  • Build strategic partnerships internally and externally to support supply objectives and execute business plans, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to meet project timelines and quality standards.
  • Review inventory value and identifying potential writeoff risks with stakeholders.
  • Lead and train the Supply Chain Team on best practices and KPIs for measuring performance, ensure efficient processing of service and material requests.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, collaboration, and development discussions to challenge staff and build best practices and Key Performance Indicators for measuring performance and the efficient processing of service and material requests.
  • Analyze market data, trends, supplier capabilities and supply chain performance to identify costsavings and optimization opportunities, monitor for compliance, anticipate growth opportunities, and resolve issues.
  • Perform assigned duties.


This role is a
fulltime position based out _either_ of our head office in
Toronto, Ontario, or our regional office in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on a _
Monday-Friday_ schedule.
