Expert accounting and financial acumen including IFRS
Deep knowledge of financial statements with ability to create and edit as needed.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and managing confidential situations
Strategic financial planning for financial viability
Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills

Ability to present complex topics to various levels of stakeholders
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Essential

Responsibilities:

Preparation of financial statements and reports that meet all regulatory and accounting guidelines
Preparation of quarterly and annual management discussion and analysis (MD&A)
Provide advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters including research of IFRS
Perform technical calculations to support complex journal entries
Implementation of new IFRS standards as applicable
Participate in the yearend audit and preparation of audited financial statements
Execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes and procedures
Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, certain accounting entries and account reconciliations
Support new systems or project selections and implementation from a strategic finance and internal control perspective
Preparation of required quarterly and annual filings with the OSC and SEC
Such other duties and functions as the Company may assign to the employee from time to time.
Must be available to work some holidays and weekends.

Education, Training and Experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or similar
4 + years experience in accounting field
Professional designation preferred
Public reporting and large accounting firm experience preferred
