JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Assist the Marketing Coordinator with marketing content for all groups of companies including writing content, creating/taking and editing photos and videos, etc. to be used across multiple platforms.
  • Assist with creating content for and assist with managing/maintaining the social media accounts for the company including bringing forward concerns about comments and direct messages to the Marketing Coordinator in a timely manner, following pages, checking tags and hashtags, updating information on profiles, and more.
  • Assist with all digital and print advertising campaigns.
  • Assist with policy/procedure updates for Social Media, Marketing, Human Resources and Health and Safety as required.
  • Assist in planning and organizing materials for job fairs, conferences, and events, and attending events in various locations.
  • Assist with planning and attending Social Committee Events/Fundraisers.
  • Keep track of data, evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, and provide regular reports and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  • Work on website development and improvements to enhance the company's digital presence.
  • Assist with the creation of engaging and relevant marketing and advertising campaigns including the creation of newsletters for both internal and external distribution.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure marketing efforts align with overall company objectives.
  • Assist with managing and improving Google platforms including Google Business Listings, Google Analytics, Google Ads and more.
  • Display professionalism toward our company and customers at all times.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:


  • Post secondary education in the Marketing, Communications or Public Relations field is considered an asset. Priority will be given to applicants with the required postsecondary education.

Funding Requirements:


  • Must not have worked in the marketing/communications/public relations field previously.
  • Must not have previously participated in NOHFCfunded internship.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Knowledgeable, highly competent & hardworking person who is passionate about marketing.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to edit digital content (photo/video/text) and adequate knowledge of software used to edit digital content.
  • Have a solid understanding of the primary marketing channels.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and best practices, as well as the desire to use that knowledge in a professional setting.
  • Proficiency with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office & Adobe products.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to work alone or with others within the company.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
