About this role

We are currently looking for a motivated individual who wants to grow in their career as a Forklift Operator with one of the most reputable national companies in Canada.


Requirements:


  • Must have at least
    6 months of experience operating forklifts
:


  • Must be comfortable working
    rotating shifts on weekly basis.
  • Must be able to independently lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must be looking for a longterm opportunity
  • Must be able to do basic math functions such as adding, subtracting, and dividing.
  • Must be able to read orders for picking and staging of products.
  • Must be able to work in hot, dusty, cold, snowy, icy & wet conditions
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to work

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload trucks
  • Participate in daily toolbox talks
  • Complete the proper material handling equipment inspections to safely operate energized equipment at the site
  • Unload inbound packaging materials pallets.
  • Participate in pilecovering
  • Working efficiently & effectively to get orders filled
  • Report inventory discrepancies to Supervisor
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
  • Report quality variances and follow sanitation procedures
  • Comply with WHMIS and Worksafe standards

Salary:

$18.00-$19.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Simcoe, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Forklift: 1 year (preferred)
