    Job Summary:

    We are seeking skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Workers who are passionate about creating a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidates will possess a strong sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding the high standards of Aurora Recovery Centre.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform routine maintenance tasks such as repairing plumbing systems, electrical systems, and HVAC systems.

    Conduct regular inspections of the building to identify and address any maintenance issues.

    Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or employees.

    Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs or installations that require specialized skills.

    Keep accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

    Supervise and train maintenance staff, ensuring that they adhere to safety protocols and perform their duties effectively.

    Fabricate or repair various items within the building as needed.

    Maintain a clean and organized work area.

    Qualifications:

    Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field.

    Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and train staff.

    Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for recordkeeping and scheduling.

    Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with tenants, employees, and contractors.

    Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction principles.

    Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues accurately.

    Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.

    High school diploma or equivalent.
