Job Description:


The individual may be based in Ottawa region, Quebec, or the Maritimes. As part of your duties, you will be working with internal clients in Quebec and the Maritimes on a regular basis. You will also collaborate on a regular basis with the team members based in Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia in addition to contributing to national mandates covering all Canadian provinces.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you will participate in several HR projects as needed.


Here are your responsibilities:

HR PROGRAMS AND PROCESSES

  • Participates in certain committees (employee participation committee, health and safety committee, etc.)
  • Supports managers in welcoming, orienting and training new employees, and ensures a systematic followup of the integration of new employees.
  • Works closely with the talent attraction team and supports the management team as needed.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

  • Supports and coaches managers on employee relations, training, job reviews (for evaluations), health and safety, and performance issues.
  • May be required to assist with store transactions (corporate to associate and vice versa).

SUPPORT TO HRBP

  • Assists HRBP (HR Business Partner) and the HR team with specific tasks and projects.
  • Participates or leads improvement initiatives for the HR department.
  • Coordinates HR related events.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • Supports all operational aspects of health and safety in his/her region such as making and following up on requests and assisting managers in the management of H&S files and prevention plans.
  • Leads the H&S claims process.

Qualifications:

To join our team, you will need, among other things:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Five years of experience in an HR generalist role.
  • Bilingualism (French and English) as you will be collaborating regularly with colleagues across Canada;
  • Travel to other Canadian provinces required
