As an Operational Risk Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the P&C sectors in identifying and managing their operational risks.


It's a unique opportunity to work with rigorous, passionate people who want to bring value to P&C initiatives and processes.

You will report to the Senior Manager, P&C Operational Risk Management, and your role will be to help ensure that the Bank's operational risk management framework is followed and applied.


Your role:

  • Carry out various tasks related to managing operational losses for the P&C sector:
  • Report operational events that exceed $250K
  • Report losses in accordance with Integrated Risk Management and OSFI requirements
  • Carry out all activities related to the monthly close of operational losses
  • Support the ORM team and act as an expert on operational losses and events
  • Contribute to the team's operational risk activities:
  • Create action plans in Connected Risk and the follow-up for some of them
  • Collect quarterly results of key risk indicators and follow up on them with various stakeholders
  • Help colleagues with risk analyses
  • Collect and analyze data to prepare various documents and reports
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on the sector's operational risk management activities
  • Participate in projects related to risk management

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or in a related field, accounting title (CPA) preferred, and 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in/knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, and monthly reconciliation
  • Knowledge of Personal and Commercial Banking sector processes and activities
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and manage priorities
  • Bilingualism (English and French) required, as you will work closely with colleagues outside Quebec
Preferred skills

  • Experience in/knowledge of operational risk management or a related field, an asset
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, rigour, and professionalism
