ABOUT THE ROLE
Palliser Furniture Ltd. is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to fill the permanent role of Maintenance Technician.

  • Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Performs and assist a wide variety of general maintenance activity in preventive, corrective and predictive.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery and parts replacement as necessary.
  • Duties may involve to electrical, PLC controls, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, machining; carpentry, welding, plumbing, installing, aligning, and other related maintenance jobs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives project implementation, 5s, tools control and spare parts inventories.
  • Moves and assists in moving furniture and equipment at various facilities/sites; sets up and breaks. down office
  • Maintain clean, safe, and orderly work sites.
  • Willing to perform related tasks as required.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Completion of a three
- to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience and industry courses in industrial machinery repair or millwrighting is usually required.

  • With more than 5 years experience in CNC automation maintenance, programming and basic operation.
  • HVAC and compressor skills.
  • Industrial sewing machine mechanic skills.
  • Excellent in technical and nontechnical problemsolving analysis.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to the building trades
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts both verbally and in writing
