About Strescon Limited
Established in 1963, Strescon Limited has grown to become the largest precast, pre-stressed concrete manufacturer in Eastern Canada. Its primary market covers the Atlantic Provinces and the New England region of the United States.
Strescon manufactures a wide range of both architectural and structural precast/prestressed concrete products including bridge girders, wall panels, complete parking garages, hollow-core planking, piling and deck slabs.
Strescon presently has two facilities:
70,000 sq. ft. in Saint John, New Brunswick and 50,000 sq. ft. In Bedford, Nova Scotia.
In addition to our engineered precast facilities for custom components, Strescon also operates a 32,000 sq. ft.
facility in Saint John which manufactures standard concrete products for engineered drainage systems, such as pipe, manholes and catch basins.
Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Support project team with planning of multiple projects consisting of various precast/prestressed concrete products
- Consistent use of 3D modelling computer software to run reports and sequences in accordance with departmental requirements
- Track project timeline and production progress to ensure schedules are kept
- Ensure compliance with contract documentation and specification
- Ongoing communication between the office, plant and other internal customers
- Support with various responsibilities from budget analysis, issuing subcontracts, scope reviews, requisitions, change management to complete projects
- Coordinate erection sequences with erector and create load lists according to sequence
- Create change orders for customers and enter into change management software
- Work with project team to creatively improve processes
- Review field conflicts and create Field Work Drawings
- Review Quality Control Memos and work with Engineering to provide solution
- Receive and pay invoices
- Write and track RFIs
- Take meeting minutes and distribute as required
- Delivering drawings to the plant on a daily basis
- Additional duties as assigned
Technical Requirements
- Postsecondary education within an engineering technology program, or a combination of relevant education and experience would be considered an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, PowerPoint as well as Teams
- Experience reading drawings would be considered an asset

- Ability to work both independently and within a team
