Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in Information Technology (or an equivalent level of experience).
  • Extensive experience with the development and administration of collaboration and communication solutions, such as the Microsoft 365 suite, Teams, SharePoint, external websites, WordPress, etc.
  • Working knowledge of network infrastructure design and information security
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated experience in managing projects and implementing new initiatives.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Experience providing leadership, coaching, and guidance to IT support staff.
  • Solid understating of IT industry trends and directions to manage the rapidly changing area of IT through innovation and creativity.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing and conflicting priorities to ensure service delivery

Duties:


Reporting to the Director, Infrastructure and Cybersecurity (Director), the Manager, IT Applications (Manager) provides Information Technology (IT) services that support the Office's strategic direction.

The Manager also oversees the assignment and recovery of IT hardware while also managing the Office's communication devices. When necessary, the Manager supports the Office's server and network infrastructure.


The Manager must be able to organize and manage a workload with multiple, competing and changing priorities within tight timelines.

The Manager is required to keep their knowledge up-to-date and establish broad networks of peer contacts internally, locally, and through inter-provincial professional associations.
