About the Opportunity:


Reporting to the Manager or designate, the Stores Clerk assists with the organization, distribution, replenishment and tracking of inventories and supplies in support of healthcare throughout the NSH.


As a Stores/Warehouse clerk, this job incorporates a number of duties including: loading, unloading trucks, shipping, receiving, distributing supplies, ordering, replenishing, handling equipment and other materials procured for NSH as stock or non-stock.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to any urgent requests or general inquiries and enhance end users supply chain service.

The Stores Clerk will also be responsible for operating and maintaining equipment, e.g. electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, delivery carts etc. Keeping the work area& dock clean at all times.

Other duties may be assigned as needed, such as the, cycle counts and special projects.


About You:


  • We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Grade XII
  • Must have or be willing to take the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification course and WHMIS certification
  • Experience with computerized inventory control and tracking systems is preferred
  • Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (unloading trucks/loading, moving, pushing, lifting, and reaching)
  • Must be able and willing to train for and operate warehouse machinery such as electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and the electric fork truck
  • Knowledge of pick control locations and units of issue is preferred
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours:


  • Long Assignment Fulltime (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
  • Beginning as soon as possible with an expected end date of November 30, 2024.

Compensation and Incentives:

$ $23.17 Hourly
