What can I expect to do in this role?: In this role, you will:

  • Inspect highway corridor and ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and policies
  • Coordinate utility relocations
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders such ministry staff, municipalities, consultants, and the public
  • Identify and resolve problems related to corridor management

How do I qualify?:


Mandatory:


Engineering and Technical Skills:

- you have the ability to read and interpret highway and construction plans, reports and site plans


Communication Skills:

- you have proven interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with other office personal and a wide range of external stakeholders such as, the public, utility companies, developers, municipalities and elected officials
- you have written communication skills to prepare documents such as permits, correspondence and briefing notes
- you have the ability to provide advice and technical and legal information to clients who are unfamiliar with terminology


Analytical, Organizational and Computer Skills:

- you have demonstrated planning, organizational and prioritization skills
