Summary:


The Sales Manager responsibilities include acting as the principal point of contact between the business and its customers, identifying new markets and customer leads, obtaining new customers, and servicing existing customers needs.

Additionally, leading and managing all sales operations and overseeing the activities of junior sales team members.

The sales manager will attend tradeshows both local and overseas, provide pitches to new customers and work along side the Marketing department to achieve the sales targets.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Richmond, BC.

Job Duties:


  • Leads and manages the sales team to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets
  • Services existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key clients and market influencers
  • Focuses sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of dealers.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Prioritizes sustainability and the environment when engaged in business relations
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically and professionally at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:


  • Minimum 6 years Sales experience working with Natural Health Products
  • Minimum 3 year experience as Sales Manager
  • Natural Health Products industry preferred
  • Progressive Sales experience in the CPG industry with at least two years calling on large strategic accounts such as Target, Walmart, Loblaws and Costco.
  • Degree is Nutrition is a plus
  • Leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening)
  • Hardworking, proactive and a team player
  • Highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with other general computer skills
  • Reduce environmental impact whenever possible

Work Conditions:


  • Fulltime, Monday to Friday availability
  • Overtime as required
  • Sitting/walking throughout the day
  • Working on a computer for most of the day
  • Travel to the site and offsite locations will be required
  • Work both indoors and outdoors at tradeshows/demos
  • Have good attendance and safety record

Training
On the job training will be provided and evaluated upon completion.
