Description

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform high angle rescue stand-by;
  • Assist in developing sitespecific rescue plans and procedures;
  • Perform onsite safety watch, confined space entry watch and atmospheric testing, spark/fire watch, and gas detection, as required;
  • Provide support to ensure that all onsite personnel work in a safe manner and comply with company and regulatory/legislative requirements for Occupational Health & Safety;
  • Follow and be an advocate for all rules, policies and procedures as per the client's health and safety program, the Company's HSE program and all other applicable legislation;
  • Intervene in unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to influence safe behaviors and to create a safe working environment;
  • Champion the Company's safety culture and safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1+ year field safety experience;
  • Minimum required safety tickets: H2S Alive, Standard First Aid, CSTS, CSO, Confined Space Entry/Monitor, Confined Space Rescue and Fall Protection;
  • High Angle Rope Rescue or equivalent certification (Minimum 40 hour certification);
  • Valid Driver's License and the ability to produce a clean drivers abstract;
  • Must be willing to work outdoors, work an irregular schedule (including night shifts and weekends), and travel to various client sites;
  • Capable of working with limited supervision and able to exercise initiative and sound judgement.
