The Psychologist in this role is responsible for providing a complete range of psychological services (e.i, research, program development/ evaluation, diagnostic, assessment, psychotherapy, and consultation) for patients with a range of anxiety disorders and depressive disorders.
For outpatients, the Psychologist will work with an interprofessional team in program development (including group intervention development) and evaluation, and limited individual intervention.
For inpatients, the Psychologist will provide staff education as well as develop and evaluate inpatient programming specific for the needs of these patients.
The role also includes consultation with medical and other health professionals around case conceptualization and treatment planning.This position involves providing clinical leadership for the Interpersonal Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (IPT/CBT) service in the Adult Mental Health Care Program, and report to both the Manager, Psychology and the Clinical Manager, General Adult Ambulatory Mental Health Services.

Regular Full-timeRate of Pay:
$58.09 per hour - $72.62 per hour
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Psychology
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
- Authorized (or eligibility to be authorized) to provide Clinical Psychological services
- Authorized (or eligibility to be authorized) to work with Adults
- Recent clinical experience in a mental health care setting
- Recent experience in evidencebased practice in the treatment of anxiety and depressive disorders
- Recent experience working in a hospital setting, preferred
- Demonstrated ability in Interpersonal Psychotherapy, preferred
- Demonstrated ability in program development and evaluation
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g., Mental Health Act, PHIPA, HCCA)
- Demonstrated ability in working with interprofessional health care teams
- Demonstrated expertise in psychologial assessment and evaluation
- Demonstrated advaced diagnostic and psychotherapy skills
- Demonstrated expertise in biopsychosocial case conceptualization and consultation
- Demonstrated advanced verbal and written communications skills
- Demonstrated flexibility and a commitment to working within an academic environment
- Demonstrated excellent time management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks effectively
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the principles of patient and family centered care
- Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety
- Demonstrated practice and commitment to LHSC's Mission, Vision, and Values
- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis
