The salary range for this position is:

Recruitment range:
$58,368- $64,339 starting salary
determined by the PEA Collective Agreement.


Performance range:
starting salary to max of $75,878
is available through annual performance increases.

  • Job Summary
    Mandate:


This position will provide marketing, design and web support to Wellness Recreation and Athletics (WRAD), under the portfolio of recreation, marketing and engagement and directly reporting to ATRS marketing and design officer.

This position sits within the marketing and communications unit, supports maintaining and updating department websites; creating compelling web and social media content, including written copy and rich media; and supporting digital assets (photos, digital screens and videos) to help provide high quality deliverables and experience to the various user groups that are within wellness, recreation and athletics.


Objectives:


  • Enhance Digital Content Quality: Develop and maintain highquality, engaging content for websites and social media.
  • Maintain Website Functionality: Regularly update and audit WRAD's web pages to ensure functionality and accessibility.
  • Support Digital Media Initiatives: Create and manage digital and visual media, including graphics, photos, and videos, to support marketing efforts.
  • Drive Marketing Communications: Collaborate on web projects and media production, analyze marketing metrics, and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Uphold Brand Consistency: Ensure all content adheres to established editorial voice and brand guidelines.
  • Manage Vendor Relations: Coordinate with external vendors and internal participants to align updates and projects with department goals.
  • Job Requirements
    Experience:
This position requires practical experience in graphic design, website development, and marketing communications.

It also requires excellent organizational abilities with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Proven track record achieving project goals on time and produce highquality deliverables.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Skilled in creating effective graphics and integrating text and imagery compellingly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and adept at learning new software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, content management systems, and multimedia editing tools.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining content for complex websites targeting multiple audiences, using CMS such as Craft and Sidearm.
  • Demonstrated project management skills with a flexible approach to adapting as project requirements evolve.

Assets:


  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and Twig.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, including SEM, SEO, and optimization strategies.
  • Experience writing communication content in a large organization.
