We are seeking a skilled and experienced CCQ Journeyman Painter to join our team.

As a CCQ (Commission de la construction du Québec) certified professional, you will be responsible for executing painting projects in both commercial and industrial settings.

Your expertise and knowledge in painting techniques will be crucial in ensuring the successful completion of various projects.


Responsibilities:


Commercial and Industrial Painting:

Perform high-quality painting work on commercial and industrial projects, including office buildings, retail spaces, warehouses, factories, and other facilities.


Surface Preparation:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and filling holes to ensure optimal adhesion of paint and coatings.

Coating Systems:
Understand different coating systems and select appropriate materials based on project specifications and environmental conditions.

Safety Compliance:

Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while working at commercial and industrial sites, including wearing appropriate protective gear and following safety protocols.


Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain and clean painting tools, equipment, and spray guns to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Quality Control:
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations.

Team Collaboration:

Work effectively with a team of painters, contractors, and other tradespeople to coordinate project timelines and achieve project goals.


Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of materials used, time spent, and work completed for each project.


Requirements:


CCQ Certification:
Possess a valid CCQ Journeyman Painter certification or equivalent recognized qualification.

Surface Preparation Skills:
Proficient in surface preparation techniques, such as sanding, scraping, and cleaning, to ensure proper paint adhesion.

Painting Equipment Proficiency:

Ability to operate and maintain various painting tools and equipment, including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and airless paint systems.


Safety Awareness:

Familiarity with safety protocols in commercial and industrial environments, and the ability to follow safety guidelines to minimize hazards and accidents.


Attention to Detail:
Meticulousness and a keen eye for detail to deliver high-quality, precise painting work.

Time Management:
Excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet project deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Team Player:

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work harmoniously with a diverse team and contribute to a positive work environment.


Knowledge of Coating Systems:

Familiarity with different coating systems commonly used in commercial and industrial settings, such as acrylic, latex, and epoxy coatings.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract, Seasonal

Part-time hours: 40 per week
