Job Summary

We are currently looking for someone to join our Deer Creek Golf Team as a Marshall / Starter who is passionate about Golf and who holds themselves to superior standards regarding customer service, guest experience and providing exceptional quality of service.

Job Requirements:

Self-Motivated, punctual and proactive
Enthusiastic and self motivated
Strong communication skills
Works independently as well as in a team environment
Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development and implementation of the pace of play.
Maintain established starting time intervals in coordination with the golf shop staff to ensure pace of play
Enforce and implement the rules, regulations, policies and procedures established by Glen Cedars Golf Club.
Maintain daily records and prepare reports of all incidents, accidents and customer concerns.
Inform and educate customers about pace of play, golf rules and golf etiquette.
Perform light maintenance duties, such as filling divots, repairing ball marks and trash removal
Assist with tournament organization (signage, scoring, cart setup, proximity markers, registration etc.)
Adhere to all employment policies and procedures as laid out in the golf course employment handbook
Follow health and safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:

Good understanding of the game of golf
1 year of experience working as a Player Assistant or Marshall an asset

Good Physical Strength

Ability to stand/walk/bend/push/pull for extended periods of time.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Ability to follow and take direction from Supervisors/Managers

Job Type:
Seasonal - Full Time Contract (April to November)
