Your Home Audio Visual is Toronto's finest, high-end, custom installation company.

Specializing in residential and commercial system installations, we are seeking qualified, experienced system technicians to conduct installations involving new construction, retrofit and existing construction projects in residential and commercial projects.

The typical workweek is Monday through Friday hours shifts with some opportunities for overtime. Benefits are available to employees after one year of employment.

These benefits include vacation, group health plan, cell phone allowance, and in some cases, employees are offered a work vehicle as a daily driver.

Projects will require technicians to work on construction projects. Daily work includes cabling, hardware installation, audio/video rack construction, minor carpentry and product delivery.


Applicants should be able to lift 75 lbs., work 8-10 hour days standing on hard surfaces, and work with various tools, including ladders and man lifts, saws, drills and hammer drills.

Applicants with residential and commercial audio/video experience are encouraged to apply. Certifications from CEDIA or Infocomm are a plus. Applicant must also have strong computer, communication and documentation skills. Applicants are required to have audio/video or similar construction experience. IT background and programming experience are a plus.

Responsibilities:


  • Install audio/video equipment including tv's, amplifiers, speakers, networking devices and more.
  • When necessary, troubleshoot complex audio, video, control system, panel, and network switching problems and resolve.
  • Partner with clients and engineers to ensure proper development of control systems and panels.
  • Coordinate with Project Management and Field Technicians for project scheduling.
  • Ability to effectively and timely report progress and updates to customer and staff.

Required Skills:


  • Experience with data networking setup and configuration.
  • Intermediate understanding of audio DSP programming and testing.
  • Installation experience with networked AV equipment.
  • Strong PC (Microsoft Office) and Networking experience.
  • Ability to manage resources, set priorities and achieve deadlines.

Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with data networking setup and configuration.

Additional Details:

100% Field Work. Company vehicle available. Clean driving record is required. Pay will depend on experience.


Salary:
$25.00-$35.00 per hour
