This is a 12-month assignment in Tunis, Tunisia.


The mandate stems from the Equality in Action Voluntary Cooperation Program (PCV), which is being rolled out in 12 countries and 3 regions over an eight-year period The PCV aims to increase the involvement of local partners in developing countries in inclusive, innovative and sustainable development initiatives that will advance gender equality.

Oxfam's role is to support these organizations, working with the most vulnerable and marginalized people, to claim and exercise their rights.

Here's what your daily life will look like:
In close collaboration with Oxfam's in-country HR Coordinator and the partners, your mandate will be to:

  • Support the team in the recruitment process and integration of new recruits and volunteers.
  • Contribute to HR operations: monitoring, updating and maintenance of HRrelated data (employee contracts and volunteer agreements, leave records, staff and volunteer files, registration for social insurance and supplementary health insurance and pension insurance for ).
  • Participate in and facilitate the annual appraisal process.
  • Support partners in strengthening their HR management capacities through training and/or coaching sessions.

For this mandate you must:


  • Be a Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status in Canada;
  • Have a university degree in human resources management, industrial relations or equivalent.
  • Have 2 years of experience in human resources preferably with NGOs.
  • Be fluent in English and French, spoken and written (required).
  • Master the Office suite.
