Position Overview


VIVO's licensed producer, Canna Farms Inc, located in Hope BC is seeking a Propagation Associate to facilitate and support the growth of its high-quality cannabis products.


The successful Propagation Associate will be responsible for contributing to the efficient production of top-quality product, in strict compliance with all Health Canada Regulations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Have a general understanding of plant botany.
  • Ability to learn and follow direction.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Have a general understanding of environments needed for plant health including but not exclusive to medium moisture, humidity, quality cuts, propagation techniques, lighting, cleanliness.
  • Know when a plant is healthy and thriving vs struggling to survive.
  • Process skills including but not exclusive to grading, potting up, pruning.
  • Proper documentation and labelling.
  • Understanding of the importance of Batch numbers and inventory control.
  • Knowing the difference between plants for production, insurance, and cycling.
  • Following all SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures) and PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) while working in rooms. Keep accurate records of where clones came from and note quality of clones taken.
  • Required to complete all training for the position.
  • Ability to understand and follow SOP's, safe work procedures, and health Canada guidelines.
  • Ability to work well with others to meet production demands.
  • Effectively communicate with leads, supervisors, and managers.
  • Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory in any way to supervisors.
  • Perform other related duties and tasks when requested by supervisors.

Academic/Educational Requirements_

  • Minimum of grade 12 diploma.

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge_

  • Must have meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be able to pass abackground check.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry out often repetitive tasks at a continuously high level of quality.
  • Willingness and flexibility to complete any task that may be required.

  • Previous Health Canada Security Clearance and work experience with a Canadian Licensed Producer (LP) is considered as an asset.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance, as per Health Canada's Cannabis Act.

  • Maintain concentration while completing repetitive tasks.
  • Meet company standards within the task assigned.
