Description

The Systems Administrator, Disaster Recovery & Data Protection will be a key contributor to the IT Infrastructure team, helping maintain and protect critical systems that support 1700+ connected users North America-wide.

Working closely with our Senior Systems Administrator, Senior Manager IT Infrastructure, and Risk & Compliance team, you will ensure the health and effectiveness of our disaster recovery and data backup systems.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Managing, tuning, and monitoring backup and replication platforms
Collaboratively support guidance of RPO, RTO, Data Retention, Cyber Security, and DLP policies
Periodic failover testing & data restores, and sandbox management
Research, planning, staying up to date on latest technologies and resiliency strategies
Key participant in vendor and platform support relationships
Hypervisor and Hyperscaler support
An Information Technologyrelated Degree, Diploma or Certification
3+ years experience with: Windows Server, Hyper-V or VMware, Enterprise DR/Backup services, and Networking
Proven skills operating multiplatform solutions
Experience in administration of Microsoft 365, Veeam, Zerto, Azure considered an asset
Familiarity with hybrid (on premise/cloud) compute environments
Experience tackling engineering aspects of performance, resiliency, security, and maintainability
Good working knowledge of ITIL practices & processes and Change & Release Management frameworks
Ability to assess and communicate risk
