JOB SUMMARY
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of a team of electricians. This includes scheduling work, assigning tasks, and inspecting completed work. The Electrical Supervisor must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with electrical code and safety standards. They must also maintain accurate records of time worked, materials used, and any incidents or accidents. This is an 8+ month project with potential for an extension.


OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate, coordinate, direct, and schedule site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings.
  • Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.
  • Monitor the overall progress of the project and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Maintains a respectful and engaging work environment for all employees.
  • Ensures that policies and project procedures are being adhered to, including Health Safety, Security and Environmental Policies.
  • Maintain a good working relationship with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Prepare and review reports on progress, costs, materials used and adjust work schedules as required.
  • Accountable for compliance with the union agreement.
  • Prepare overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Project Management

REQUIRED SKILLS and PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficient in Bluebeam
  • Understanding of construction execution strategy.
  • Must possess maintenance and industrial oil field electrical experience with a journeyman ticket in Electrical or instrumentation.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling, project controls, Work Breakdown Structures, Earned Value Management.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Team player as well as selfmotivated, responsible, proactive, and reliable.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safely and follow/understand procedures.
  • Ability to plan, organize, budget, and monitor project performance.
  • Must be reliable and dependable (i

  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check (within 30 days of hire)
