Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team.

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the construction process by accurately estimating project costs and ensuring profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare work for estimation by gathering proposals, architectural drawings, specifications, and related documents.
  • Identify labor, material, and time requirements through a comprehensive study of proposals, architectural drawings, and specifications.
  • Resolve discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
  • Generate special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
  • Obtain quotes and manage the issuance of approved purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Analyze and comprehend customer requirements for a given project.
  • Develop detailed estimates and purchase orders for all products.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to formulate and present proposals.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed postsecondary education in a Construction Estimating Program.

Experience with Planswift software is considered an asset

1-2 years of prior experience in estimating products within the construction and/or manufacturing industries from plans and drawings is preferred

  • Proficient in reading architectural drawings.
  • Familiarity with estimating software is desirable.
  • Microsoft Office skills are required.

Demonstrated ability to read and understand architectural drawings.

Note:
Part-time with minimum 20 hours availability per week, potential to get converted into full-time
