- Liaising with the Special Events Coordinators to understand and communicate facility layouts
- Variety of duties which are associated with the hundreds of events, conferences, parties and other events held at Spruce Meadows throughout the year
- This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. The shift may also include the use of pallet jacks. Set up and take down tables, chairs and other items as required.
- Facilitate room setups or flips by reading and understanding floorplans, having a working knowledge of all equipment and room setups. Ensure room set up and refresh standards are upheld.
- Utilizes time and resources in the most efficient and effective manner possible.
- Coordinate with other departments when required.
- Properly stores all materials and equipment at the end of each working shift.
- Maintenance and upkeep of Spruce Meadows equipment and inventory in respects to facility rental equipment (including but not limited to tables, chairs, drapes, drape frames, etc...)
- Ensure the smallest details are checked over in each venue to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with other departments when required.
- Provide the Special Events Coordinator with a detailed pass off at the end of shift.
- Ensure room set up and refresh standards are upheld.
- Must work well with fellow employees, as a team member, working toward common goals.
- Abides by and upholds overall customer service standards.
- Performs other such duties as may be required or directed.

- Reliable transportation to and from work and a Class 5 driver's license(there is no transit available to Spruce Meadows)
- High School diploma
- Organizational proficiency
- Ability to move quickly and carry heavy loads
- Strong time management skills
- Strong team approach and willingness to assist others when necessary
- Ability to problem solve and exhibit conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends and evenings in listed dates of employment
- Current certificate in Standard First Aid & CPR Level C (Asset)
- Ability to speak a second language fluently (Asset)
