Marcon Metalfab is looking to hire a Structural Steel Detailer.

Responsibilities:

As a Structural Steel Detailer, you will be required to prepare submittal packages for review by the design team, track the same progress, and report any changes or corrections on return to the Project Manager as needed.

You will review third-party submittal drawings for accuracy to field information and the design documents before forwarding them to the design team for review and approval.

The applicant will prepare materials and bolt lists for review by the shop and submitted to the Project Manager for purchasing, amended as needed to reflect the changes in the project.

The applicant will participate in Production Meetings and advise on the current detailing schedule, and status of project submittals and discuss areas of concern requiring additional information from the field, suppliers or users.

Skills and Abilities:

Minimum of 35 years of experience as a Structural Steel Detailer.
Well versed in Structural Steel Detailing and erection drawings.
Proven knowledge of Computerassisted design (CAD)software such as Advance Steel, AutoCAD, and Tekla. Knowledge of Advance Steel would be considered an asset.
Intermediate skills with office software including Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
Detailoriented, precise, and organized.
Able to organize multiple jobs and complete them on time and with quality.
Excellent English both written and spoken is necessary.
