    What We are Looking For:

    Aird & Berlis LLP is seeking an Administrative Assistant for our Wills & Estates department, in addition to supporting other areas of our firm. The successful candidate will work along side a team of people to handle the majority of the administrative tasks. This position is ideally suited for someone who is detail oriented, meticulous with follow up, has strong communication skills and is self-motivated.

    Responsibilities:

  • Handle details with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, conflict searches, engagement letters, docketing, and billing, etc.
  • Scan, file and e-file a large volume of documentation
  • Prepare numerous bound estate briefs in hard copy and electronic format
  • Assist with preparing standard Affidavits of Execution and Indexes for estate briefs
  • Review of Will and Trust documents received from the estate and tax group
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
  • Produce the highest quality of work
  • Handle a high volume of daily administrative tasks
  • Accountable for all work assigned

  • Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
  • Previous office administrative experience considered an asset
  • Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
