Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for priming various finished metal projects in our manufacturing plant using spray and dip methods.

Reports to:
Production Manager


1. Responsibilities**:


  • Maintain excellent attendance record
  • Storage and preparation of paint products
  • Calculate and maintain levels of paint supply and related consumables
  • Operate and maintain paint related equipment and tools effectively i.e. sprayers, nozzles, paint booth, etc.
  • Receive and follow work instructions and material priority status
  • Interpret drawings and sketches to determine and verify product finish
  • Application of primer to finished steel product using dip and spray methods as required
  • Ensure quality of finish on primed material to meet customer requirements
  • Safe operation of overhead crane for material movement

2. Requirements/Qualifications**- Knowledge of paint and proper procedure of paint and painting

  • Knowledge of chemicals and proper steps for mixing and clean up
  • Must have good time management skills
  • Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. and be on feet for long periods
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand English clearly
  • Possess problem solving skills

3. Health & Safety Responsibilities**:


  • Active participation in company safety program

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$20.00-$30.00 per hour


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay
