Position Title:
Early Childhood Educator, IT
Location:
Sprouts Child Care Center
3368 Carscallen Road, Richmond
Terms:
Permanent, Full-Time: 35 hours/week
Shift:
Monday to Friday, shifts rotating between 7:30am - 6:00pm
Rate:
$27.66 per hour for ECE IT License.
Includes $4 per hour Provincial Government's Wage Enhancement)
Start Date:
As soon as possible

Team Lead, Child Care
Nature & Scope:
- We are seeking a caring and creative Early Childhood Educator to provide a safe and engaging experience for all children at the YMCA.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Basic ECE certification from a program recognized in British Columbia
- Infant Toddler Educator (ITE) License is
required. - Special Needs Educator (SNE) is an asset
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Any training related to child growth and development is an asset
- Emergency First Aid and CPR-C & AED certificate required (can be obtained with in 30 days after start date)
- 3 professional reference checks to be completed
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide quality care and creative programming to children
- Build meaningful and positive relationships with children and families
- Work with your team to create a supportive and safe environment for both staff and families
- Deliver high quality and ageappropriate programs based on the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum
- Provide active supervision at all times and work as a team to support transitions between play areas
- Use our parent communication app (Weemarkable) to provide daily communication and updates
- Keep a clean and safe environment in all program areas and common spaces (with enhanced cleaning protocols for COVID19)
- Follow all YMCA, Child Care Facility Licensing (CCFL) and legal requirements, including YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum standards
