    Reporting to the Manager, Data and Digital Workplace Services, the Business Intelligence (BI) Developer will be accountable for designing interactive visualizations, creating user-friendly dashboards, and extracting insights. This role entails serving as an internal expert in M365 Power BI, Power Automate & Apps, providing support, implementation, and design services for M365 Power Platform and Dynamics. Additionally, the BI Developer will handle day-to-day maintenance, resolve assigned incidents, and change requests, and serve as an escalation point for Power BI support issues. BI Developers play a critical role in transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business growth, improve operational efficiency, and enhance decision-making processes across the organization.

    Accountabilities include but are not limited to:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their business requirements, data needs, objectives, and challenges. Translate these requirements into technical specifications for developing BI solutions.
    • Design data models to transform raw data into actionable insights aligned with organizational goals.
    • Design, develop, and deploy Power BI scripts for detailed data analysis and transformation.
    • Develop SQL queries to retrieve and manipulate data from databases to identify trends, patterns, and outliers within the data, enabling informed decision-making.
    • Analyze data and create visually engaging dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikView to support decision-making processes.
    • Analyze existing ETL processes and design new systems for optimized data integration.
    • Utilize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) queries and functions to enhance data analysis and visualization.
    • Develop custom connectors for Microsoft Power Automate.
    • Optimize BI solutions for performance and scalability, ensuring that reports and dashboards load quickly and efficiently even when dealing with large datasets.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, data engineers, and IT professionals, to ensure that BI solutions meet business requirements and technical standards.
    • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for BI applications.
    • Conduct workshops and training sessions on Power BI to empower other teams within the organization.

    What you'll bring to us:

    • Completion of a post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Information Technology (or equivalent).
    • Microsoft Power BI certification (Required).
    • Knowledge of Python (Required).
    • Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals Certification (Nice to have).
    • Power Pages (Nice to have).
    • 4-5 Years of related work experience.
    • Technical Skills:
      • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and ETL processes.
      • Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView).
      • Experience with DAX Studio (Recommended).
      • Familiarity with the Microsoft BI stack (Power Pivot, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) is advantageous.
