Job purpose


The Coordinator, Capital Campaign will support volunteers to World Vision Canada's capital campaign in raising funds and championing World Vision Canada both publicly and within their own networks.


Reporting to the Head of Campaign, the Capital Campaign Coordinator will contribute to the successful planning and execution of World Vision Canada's capital campaign by directly supporting the day-to-day execution of campaign volunteer leaders' duties and coordinating the operations and overall volunteer experience of World Vision Canada's capital campaign.


The Coordinator, Capital Campaign will be a key member of a collaborative, mutually supportive and high-performing team that has a passion for making a difference in the world.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Coordinate involvement of Campaign Chair, Campaign Cabinet and volunteer leadership involvement in World Vision's capital campaign, including communication, planning, fundraising and other activities.
  • Support the Head of Campaign, VP Philanthropy, Head of Principal Giving, and Director of Philanthropy Engagement in developing the vision and strategy for volunteer leadership involvement in World Vision Canada's capital campaign, including planning and executing strategies and coordinating activities and meetings involving campaign volunteer leaders.
  • Hold primary accountability for delivering a highly fulfilling volunteer experience that deepens volunteers' relationships with World Vision Canada.
  • Act as a key point of contact for World Vision Canada's Campaign Chair, Cabinet and volunteer leadership.
  • Work across the Philanthropy teams and across other World Vision Canada teams as necessary to coordinate the involvement of Campaign Chair, Cabinet members and other volunteer leaders in campaign activities.
  • Directly support campaign volunteer leaders in partnering with the Philanthropy team to identify, cultivate and solicit key donors and volunteers for leadership gifts and volunteer involvement in World Vision Canada's capital campaign.
  • Ensure all relevant activities are captured accurately in CRM.
  • Liaise with volunteer experience leads at other global World Vision offices forresource sharing, best practices and lessons learned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years professional experience, with at least 3 years in a fundraising environment.
  • Experience with major gifts, capital campaigns and working with volunteer leadership.
  • Experience planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising activities involving executives, major donors and High Net Worth individuals.
  • An outgoing and highly organized individual with exceptional attention to detail, strong customer service and organizational skills and adept at working across all areas of an organization to achieve results.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate and interact effectively with senior leaders and people at all levels of the organization.
  • University degree or certificate from a college or accredited postsecondary institution.
  • A high level of discretion and personal integrity who can be trusted with highly confidential information and relied upon to carry out their duties with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and familiarity with database systems such as Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Salesforce, Raiser's Edge.
  • Project management and event management experience would be an asset.
