The Library Assistant is responsible for retrieving materials requested by Library patrons and by external libraries. This position fulfills patron digitization requests and process InterLibrary Loan lending requests.

Qualifications:
High School graduation An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.

Good interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written English communication skills.
Ability to adapt to new processes and changes in technology.
Ability to handle routine and repetitive work efficiently.
Ability to work shifts.
Ability to work weekdays.
Ability to bend, stoop, crouch.
Ability to push loaded book trucks.
Ability to stand for most of the shifts.

Assignment Start Date:
January 3, 2023

Assignment End Date:
April 23, 2023

Please note:
There are 2 positions available.

Days/hours of work are Monday to Friday. 3 hours per day between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
**Priority will be given to qualified, registered SFU students who must submit a Spring 2023 class schedule with their cover letter and resume.
