Job Title:
Team Member

Currently looking for great team members for our brand-new, Indian street food concept, developed in partnership with Chef Vikram Vij from CBC's Dragons' Den


Main Responsibilities:

  • Excellent menu and product knowledge.
  • Accountable for the accuracy of guest's order/cash drawer.
  • Ensure consistency of quality, portion control, and menu item presentation.
  • Responsible for creating memorable guest experiences.
  • Adhere to food handling/safety requirements.
  • Maintain an organized, stocked, and sanitary work environment.

Duties:


  • Provide excellent customer service and assist customers with their needs
  • Operate cash registers and handle transactions accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking
  • Follow company policies and procedures for safety and sanitation
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals

REQUIREMENTS

  • Able to work in a fastpaced and busy environment.
  • Passion for food, service, and hospitality.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able and willing to complete other restaurant functions (ie. cashier to help out on food production, and vice versa).

Experience:


  • Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role is a plus
  • Experience in bussing or working in a kitchen environment is a bonus

Job Types:

Part-time hours: 25 per week


Salary:
$15.50-$16.50 per hour

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ajax, ON L1S 2J1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:


  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)

Language:


  • English (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Food Handler Certification (preferred)
