    We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Administrator for our Halifax Office. In this position, you will join the Project Services/Project Management Group that supports in the execution of projects all across North America. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of project management methodologies and comprehensive communication skills. As a Project Administrator you will support the Project Manager to successfully delivery projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

    On a day-to-day basis, you will:

  • Assist all aspects of the project, from initiation to closure, ensuring project goals are achieved within the agreed timeline, budget, and quality standards.
  • Assist Project Managers to define project scope, goals, and deliverables, in collaboration with the client, project team, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and management of the project plan, schedule, and budget, and ensure adherence to the project plan by all team members.
  • Contribute to tracking the development of tasks, identifying threats, and creating plans to reduce those threats, ensuring the project moves forward smoothly.
  • Participate in project review meetings, and provide input on project lessons learned and best practices.
  • Work along side the Project Manager to develop good relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure appropriate project delivery, customer satisfaction and secure future work.

    On top of that, you will have:

  • A university degree (bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is advantageous) OR five years of relevant work experience (experience in the Architectural/Engineering/Construction industry is preferred)
  • Superior planning and organizational skills combined with the ability to work in a time-sensitive setting on multiple and competing deadlines
  • A good understanding of project management fundamentals, especially earned value analysis
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills including the proficient use of Office tools (Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint)
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities together with the ability to adjust to changing priorities, deal with ambiguity, and work with a variety of stakeholders
  • Fluency in French and/or Spanish is considered an asset.
