Position:


The Cancer Clinical Research Unit has a mandate to lead and promote clinical research within the PM Cancer Program through standardization of processes and encouraging a culture of responsibility and accountability in clinical trials.

The Clinical Trials Support Unit provides clinical study coordination services to investigators within the Princess Margaret Cancer Program.


Reporting to the Research Manager-CTSU, the Supervisor is responsible for a positive work culture, supports the work practices to permit the delivery of high quality and efficient clinical study coordination services, while maintaining excellence and capacity to respond to the clinical research portfolio within the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

The primary accountabilities of this role are to supervise the clinical study coordination aspects of clinical trials and other research projects within the team.

This includes the supervision of clinical study coordination staff, supporting the manager in the distribution of workload, oversee day to day study and staff performance, perform quality control and assurance activities as required and perform cross-functional and other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned and or requested.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's degree or recognized equivalent, in a health or sciencerelated discipline required
  • 46 years' experience in Clinical Research required, oncology experience preferred
  • Possess leadership and supervisory skills and have related experience in these areas
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, decisionmaking, problem solving and negotiation skills required.
  • Excellent conflict resolution, team building and interpersonal skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent organization, prioritization skills
  • Competent computer skills, ability to learn quickly and work independently
  • Ability to work under pressure and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
  • Client service oriented, with the ability to effectively work with diversity and appreciate that people with different opinions, backgrounds and characteristics bring richness to the challenge or situation at hand
