Applied Music Sessional (AMS) - Voice


Estimated AMS Appointments Available:8-10 with about half being for both terms [24 hour-long lessons] and about half being for one term only [12 hour-long lessons]


Sessional Dates:
September April 2024


Salary:
$106.37/hour


Qualifications:
Graduate degree in voice performance/voice pedagogy or equivalent professional experience. Ongoing performing activities encompassing a wide range of operatic, orchestral and recital repertoire. Demonstrated excellence teaching at the university level.


Duties:

Define lesson objectives and materials; provide clear guidelines on studio requirements and regulations; teach lessons as scheduled; administer and evaluate student progress through assigned repertoire and exercises; ensure that Voice Area and Performance Division requirements are met in regard to culminating juries and recitals; establish lesson protocols with collaborative pianists; prepare and submit final grade in accordance with policy; maintain reasonable hours of student consultation outside scheduled class hours.
