Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Brick Mason to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in masonry work, with experience in building, restoring, and renovating structures using brick, stone, and other materials. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to restoration and renovation, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and durable results. The Brick Mason will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and schematics, operating various tools and equipment, and ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of work.

Responsibilities

  • Construct, install, and repair brickwork, stonework, and other masonry elements according to project specifications
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of designs
  • Utilize hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, and caulking tools to complete masonry tasks
  • Operate power tools and heavy equipment safely for cutting, mixing mortar, or moving materials
  • Perform renovation and restoration work on existing structures to improve stability and appearance
  • Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure water tightness and structural integrity
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other tradespeople to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
  • Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries on site

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role within the construction industry
  • Proficiency in masonry techniques including laying bricks, stones, blocks, or concrete units
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution
  • Experience with renovation and restoration projects is preferred
  • Ability to operate power tools such as saws, grinders, mixers, and heavy equipment used in construction settings
  • Knowledge of caulking procedures and waterproofing methods is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
  • Prior experience working with schematics for complex projects is a plus

Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
