    • What we are looking for:

    As an Analyst within the Public Markets Sustainable Investing team, you will work in close collaboration with the investment teams and distribution channel and focus on the betterment of Fiera's sustainable investing practices. You will need to understand how capital markets work, have a good understanding of different financial products such as bonds and equities. You will also need a strong understanding of portfolio construction practices and fundamental analysis processes usually employed by investment management teams.     Your responsibilities:

    Within Fiera Capital, the Public Markets Sustainable Investing team is responsible for implementing a consistent, purpose-led and proactive approach to sustainability in our investing activities. Its focus is on improving support to investment teams, providing transparency to our clients, and ensuring that Fiera Capital complies with applicable regulations. The Sustainable Investing team collaborates with the investment teams and the Chief Investment Officers of Fiera Public Markets division to improve and support our ESG capabilities while also working closely with distribution channels to help create new ESG-focused solutions. The Public Markets Sustainable Investing team also collaborates with the Risk Management team on various ESG projects, such as ESG data and reporting projects.

  • Governance & Oversight: Participate and contribute to Fiera's Global Sustainability Committee; Participate in sub-committee related to Sustainable Investing; Participate ESG due diligence reviews with investment teams;
  • ESG Integration: Further promote and enhance ESG integration capabilities throughout the organization by collaborating and supporting investment teams Oversee the access to ESG research and Data and develop ESG reporting;
  • Active Ownership: Review proxy voting activities to assess alignment with sustainable investment ideals; Support investment teams in the analysis of shareholder proposals;
  • Climate Change: Support the implementation of TCFD's recommendations and other climate-related commitments; Develop reports to enhance climate-change risk monitoring;
  • Distribution: Provide technical assistance in ESG product development; Assist RFP teams in response to ESG questions received from external sources;
  • Industry Collaboration: Participate in industry practitioner groups and associations

    • Must have requirements to be successful in this role :

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience;
  • Bachelor or master's degree in finance, or a related field;
  • Certifications or degree in sustainable development, or a related field, an advantage;
  • Professional designation in finance (PRM, FRM, CFA or CAIA) obtained or in progress, an advantage;
  • Professional designation in Sustainable Investing (SCR, FSA/SASB, CFA ESG Investing, etc.) obtained or in progress, an advantage;
  • Demonstrated and proven passion for financial market, and for the promotion of Responsible or Sustainable Investing and its principles;
  • Resourceful and Autonomous;
  • Team player;
  • Critical and structured thinking.
