Associate Director, Financial Reporting

The Financial Analyst position assists the financial reporting team with analytics in various financial reporting and operational key indicators.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of the Management's Discussion and Analysis and Financial Statements on a quarterly and annual basis
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Information Form and Management Information Circular on an annual basis
Conduct research on new and amended IFRS accounting policies and assess the impact to the financial statements
Liaise with the external auditors to address their needs for the quarterly reviews and annual year end audits
Assist in internal and external reporting packages for various stakeholders
Prepare and document CAPREIT's accounting policies and processes
Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for review
Assist with data requests from other teams and departments
Identify and assist with process improvement initiatives
Other duties and special projects as assigned by management

Qualifications:

Actively pursuing the CPA designation (CAPREIT qualifies as an approved training office)
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting;
Financial analysis and problemsolving experience;
Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask and prioritize;
Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written;
Ability to work well in a team environment;
Committed to high quality of work and attention to detail;

Excellent computer skills
