Job Summary:


Under the direction of and reporting to the Director, Strategic Initiatives, Stakeholder Relations and Liaison to the Office of the CEO, the Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Director as well as other leaders in the organization with strong project management and change management expertise, guidance and practice.

This role is vital in ensuring that project planning is collaborative, the approach is consistent, and change capacity continues to improve across CC/CL.

The position is also involved in supporting the development, implementation and communication of projects or initiatives within the organization.

This role drafts a variety of documents, including but not limited to project and change plans, communication materials, meeting agendas, briefing notes, reports, spreadsheets and presentations.

The Coordinator performs all duties in accordance with Covenant's Mission, Vision and Values.


Responsibilities:


  • Alignment with Covenant Family Strategic Framework and integration of organizational priorities within CCCL
  • Communication through Briefing Notes, Presentations, reporting and documentation for reporting to senior leadership team
  • Change and Project Management expertise to be able to guide and coach others in the organization to successful outcomes
  • External relations, stakeholder and community engagement experience and skills are an asset
  • Ability to plan, schedule and coordinate activities
  • Collaborative nature and strong initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and within set timelines
  • Ability to problemsolve and manage conflicts or politically sensitive matters in a professional manner
  • Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and external contacts
  • Develop and create a wide range of documents to support the Director, Senior Team and/or the organization including, but not limited to: briefing notes, formal reports, presentations, meeting materials, reports to the Board of Directors
  • Lead/facilitate/participate in various committees to support the priorities/goals of the Director, Senior Team and organization
  • Projects are facilitated, coordinated, supported and or participated in effectively with participation in planning, setting goals and objectives, coordination and collaboration, as well as implementing and managing change
  • Manages the implementation of key operational and strategic projects
  • Prepare a wide range of briefing notes, formal reports, presentations, meeting materials and reports for the CCCL SLT
  • Identify any change management risks or issues arising prior to and throughout the project lifecycle, communicate and develop mitigation plans for them.
  • Provide support in developing, communicating and implementing department initiatives
  • Participate on various committees to support the priorities and goals of Leadership
  • Participate, coordinate and/or support other projects or initiatives as required for the department
  • Serve
as a point of contact/liaison in the department to internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is collected, collated, and disseminated in an efficient and timely manner


Qualifications:


  • This position requires a proficient skill set in project management and change management, engagement as well as strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal (influence, persuasion, negotiation, communication) skills
  • Certificate or diploma in project management
