Overview of the Role
Join our rapidly growing, highly collaborative team in one of the top ten dairy processors in the world


Primarily responsible for the effective operation of the Georgetown warehouse, including shipping and receiving, inventory control and replenishment, regular transportation coordination and related administration.


How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Provide the leadership for the efficient, accurate and cost-effective operation of the receiving, storage, retrieval, order preparation and shipping functions.
  • Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing productive, quality, and customerservice standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements.
  • Meets warehouse financial standards by providing weekly estimates, monthly reviews and annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Accomplishes warehouse human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and progressively disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions.
  • Managing the warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving, material transfers to and from production, inventory control and stock rotation.
  • Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.'s quality standards.
  • Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with OH&S, WCB and Company regulations and procedures.
  • Administer Collective Agreement and Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitors and maintains key performance indicators and cost performance measurements;
  • Continuously seeks out and capitalizes on opportunities to improve all aspects of operations and services provided to customers.
  • Develops initiatives to promote productivity gains, reductions of cost and new methods of doing business.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • University Degree or equivalent education in operations management, business, transportation, logistics or warehousing is an asset.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • 5 to 7 years of management experience in a unionized, mid to large warehousing or distribution environment.
  • Full understanding of inventory management techniques and their impact on the business.
  • Strong leadership, effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deadline oriented, detailed and organized with exceptional analytical skills.
  • Able to cultivate a positive and innovative work environment.
  • Must be highly motivated to provide superior service to our customers
  • High level of selfmotivation with ability to take initiative.
  • Proficient and dependability in current position.
  • SAP knowledge an asset.
