Job summary
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with strong experience in California residential projects to join us on a long-term basis.We need someone who understands California codes, can design efficiently, and can defend their work with plan checkers and contractors.
- Proven experience in California residential structural design
- Strong knowledge of CBC, ASCE 7, AISI, SDPWS, local jurisdiction requirements
- Familiarity with seismic design lateral systems shear walls diaphragms foundations experience responding plan checker comments directly efficiently coordinating architects civil engineers MEP consultants contractors preferred qualifications licensed PE SE CA actively pursuing licensure ADUs single-family homes multi-family residential proficiency AutoCAD Revit not required communication skills ability independently contract duration more than months hours week mandatory skills Wooden Structure Structural Engineering Autodesk AutoCAD Drafting Structural Analysis Engineering Design Steel Structure Structural Dynamics Reinforced Concrete Structures Civil Engineering
