Engineering Test Development Intern - Ottawa, Canada (May - Aug 2023)

Jabil has an opportunity for an intern to assist our Test Engineering Development Team to develop test solutions for leading edge Radio Frequency (RF) 5G/4G LTE products for use in Next Generation Telecommunications, Cloud Computing, Data Centers, and Network Storage sectors.

Intern responsibilities may include:

• Creating software to test RF PCBAs, Radio units, to automate the testing of devices.
• Writing scripts in Python or a proprietary Jabil software that is based on C# and.

NET framework.

• Designing Graphical User Interface (GUI) in.

Net or PyQt, together with configuration files, log files and some control scripts.

• Creating endtoend tests and running tests on early prototype devices in a development lab.
• Collecting and plotting data for analysis by R&D and Test Engineers. Performing analysis of results directly.
• Assembling test equipment into Test Station racks, running tests to validate racks for use.
• Assisting with other initiatives and tasks as needed.

Position Requirements:

• Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science
• Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred majors are Software Engineering or Electrical/Computer Engineering with strong s/w skills.
• Python skills

- .Net skills including C# development.

• Data analysis/graphing skills
• Basic knowledge of RF, Wireless Communications.
• Knowledge of Test Equipment
• Vector Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, Oscilloscopes, Power Meters, Signal Analyzers.
• Ability to research independently to fill in gaps in knowledge.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
• Proactive and selfstarter with drive to add value.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
