R&W Metal Fabricating and Design Inc. is a leading manufacturer of fabricated steel products.

We are looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to our team.


This position will be responsible for all day-to-day HR functions including providing a consistent support to our current and future workforce.

The main focus of this position will be recruiting, maintaining and supporting our production employees.


We are a close-knit team and are looking for the right individual to bring new perspectives, ideas and dependability to the position.

Responsibilities:


  • Orientation for new hires which includes a review of the employee manual and health and safety awareness training
  • Administration of employee training
  • First point of contact for production employee relations issues
  • Administration of daily attendance
  • Assist with employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist with ongoing monitoring of employee performance including performance reviews and disciplinary action
  • Maintain knowledge of new Employment Standards and Health & Safety initiatives and help to ensure compliance throughout the facility
  • Organize and maintain employee and health/safety documents
  • Perform and analyze various metrics on HR and health and safety trends to support goals and initiatives
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:


  • 3 years relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Education in Human Resources an asset
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
