We invite you to become a valuable member of our logistics team, dedicated to providing exceptional last mile delivery services in the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding regions.

As an independent contractor, you will have the opportunity to utilize your own cargo van or box truck to transport a diverse range of goods, including small appliances, high-value items, and construction materials, to their ultimate destination, contributing to the success of our clients' businesses.

Responsibilities:

Effectively transport a diverse array of goods to their intended destinations within a specified timeframe.
Plan delivery routes and schedules to maximize efficiency and speed.
Maintain the utmost care and diligence in securing and safeguarding packages during transportation, fostering a sense of trust and confidence among our valued customers.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, showcasing your attention to detail.
Communicate effectively with customers and maintain a high level of customer service, becoming their preferred delivery partner.
Conduct routine vehicle maintenance and safety checks, ensuring the safety of your cargo and the community.
Comply with all applicable provincial and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety, demonstrating your professionalism.

Requirements:

As an independent contractor, ownership of a wellmaintained cargo van or box truck is a requirement, serving as a testament to your unwavering dedication to achieving excellence in all aspects of your work.
Registration for GST/HST with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) is a prerequisite, demonstrating your exceptional professionalism and unwavering commitment to delivering outstanding service.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record, proving your reliability and responsibility.
Commercial insurance coverage, ensuring the safety of your cargo and our clients' peace of mind.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, showing your physical strength and stamina.
Strong time management and organizational skills, allowing you to deliver results with precision.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, building strong relationships with our clients and their customers.

Schedule:

Monday to Saturday, starting at 7 am and working up to 6 to 12 hours on average per day, providing you with a flexible and lucrative schedule.
Averagely km per day depending on the scope of service.

Compensation:

Expect a competitive and rewarding compensation plan, with anticipated daily earnings ranging from $400 to $800, based on the volume of goods transported. This reflects our commitment to providing a fair and lucrative payment scheme that values your contributions to our team.
Anticipate a stable and fulfilling income, with an average forecast of $3000 CAD per week, which highlights our commitment to offering a reliable and sustainable source of income for our valued independent contractors.

Additional Requirements:

Must provide a helper if the liftgate is not present.
Must provide all necessary equipment required to perform, showcasing your commitment to excellence.
We welcome partnerships with ambitious and thriving logistics companies, including fleet operators, as a testament to our entrepreneurial spirit. However, please note that we facilitate payrolls for all provided drivers and employees by you to uphold fair payment practices.
At DelcoLink, we prioritize the safety and quality of our team, and to that end, we conduct a thorough screening process for all applicants. This includes a background check, independent operator ruling by WSIB, and a blacklist/conflict of interest check with our partners' hire list. Please note that our screening process typically takes a minimum of three weeks to complete.
All applicants must go through our training and all required certifications, which will be routinely checked for compliance, showcasing our commitment to excellence.
